You may not believe it, but I have not had a blogspot yet. Got along perfectly well without it. No one has charged me or called for my explanation for this noticeable absence in the present world where having no blog is not much different from not having an E Mail ID, or for that matter, a postal address. It is just that I was lazy, saying, my life ain't broken for want of a blogspot, so why fix it?
Then came a posting in one of the groups asking everyone to share their blogsites. Put me in a spot. Well, I mean, one cannot say sorry to tell you, I dont have a blog site at all.
In this hyper connected world, there are so many opportunities to waste one'e time, and blogging is one of them. Face book, twitter etc. are the other noteworthy means of ding this. Well, I am in both, though I have never tweeted, and face book postings are as rare as seeing a leopard prowling in one of the arterial roads of Bangalore (though I must mention that though rare, they are not ruled out, especially on the outskirts). Hence, to a big world out there, I dont exist.
This existentialist dilemma can be tolerated only for so long. Blog is a spot where you may post something silly, outrageous, nonsensical, and get away with it. Others may not read it, but they can't wipe it out. All that it requires is time and patience to compose your nonsense properly, read it, make sure it is nonsense, but not too much of it, edit it and then ...publish it! So you are also an author, a publisher.
So let me see where this new thing takes me...
